Supply Planner Scheduler (12 Month Contract)

Role Summary/Purpose
 
This position is a 12-month parental leave coverage role. Responsible for all day-to-day planning, buying, and scheduling activities focused on the end-to-end procurement of specified raw materials to the delivery of finished components to meet changing engine and service customers. In this role, you will interact cross-functionally using your experience and expertise to partner with external suppliers and internal associates to develop and execute priorities in line with short-term and long-term business goals to ensure an uninterrupted, high quality, optimal supply of parts for multiple customers. Position requires a strong analytical and customer-focused mindset with an understanding of concepts, methods, procedures, and theoretical knowledge.
 
Essential Responsibilities
 
  • Overall ownership of the short- and long-term plan through Oracle ERP & ASCP meeting business objectives and customer requirements 
  • Manage the production schedule based on available capacity, multiple changing customer requirements, and work with production to drive the output on time 
  • Lead daily cross functional communications with internal and external customers to meet the needs of the business 
  • Proactively identify and anticipate shortages, track incoming and expedite raw material to ensure timely delivery, highlight delays to logistics team, and escalate shortages as needed to eliminate affecting internal and external customers
  • Create, review, update necessary reports to effectively communicate to all levels of the business 
  • Execute necessary wip and material transactions and own wip inventory accuracy to meet customers’ needs 
  • Ability to manage a high volume and/or high impact of make and buy supply orders across multiple supply chains to ensure on time delivery
  • Monitor the material input to ensure the inventory level in proper level, balance the material supply & inventory replenishment
  • Assist the Buyers in resolving accounts Payable and invoice hold issues
  • Measure and analyze supplier performance, drive SupplyOn, and drive resolution on performance issues by understanding supplier capacities & capabilities
  • Drive process improvements to mitigate and reduce fulfillment risk caused by both internal and external issues
  • Works within a team setting and/or under minimal guidance
Qualifications/Requirements
 
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with supply chain focus or related field (or 3+ years of comparable industry experience)
  • Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning module – Oracle, SAP etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
